Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spanish Callejon Del Agua, Sevilla (A Sevillian Alley) by Manuel García y Rodríguez was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2009. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,471.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Manuel García y Rodríguez achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work El Patio De La Villa (The Villa Garden) in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 60,500.00 (€ 84,715.65).
