Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Manolis Calliyannis could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Les Cyprés de mon Jardin changed hands for USD 1,250.00 (€ 801.85) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Manolis Calliyannis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Greek La Lumiere De La Mer (The Light Of The Sea) in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,748.59).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Manolis Calliyannis konnte im Juli 2008 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wechselte die Arbeit Les Cyprés de mon Jardin für USD 1.250,00 (€ 801,85) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Manolis Calliyannis erzielen.
