Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2016 Artcurial held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Ensemble De 2 Aquarelles Sur Papier by Manolis Calliyannis. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 500.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 520.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Manolis Calliyannis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Greek La Lumiere De La Mer (The Light Of The Sea) in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,748.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2016 führte Artcurial die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ensemble De 2 Aquarelles Sur Papier von Manolis Calliyannis zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 500,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 520,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Manolis Calliyannis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Greek La Lumiere De La Mer (The Light Of The Sea) im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 12.748,59).
