Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2005 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work Le golfe, ciel couvert by Manolis Calliyannis. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,103.59) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Manolis Calliyannis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Greek La Lumiere De La Mer (The Light Of The Sea) in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,748.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le golfe, ciel couvert von Manolis Calliyannis zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.440,00 (€ 2.103,59) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Manolis Calliyannis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Greek La Lumiere De La Mer (The Light Of The Sea) im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 12.748,59).
