Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Manolis Calliyannis could be acquired at Sothebys in London in March 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work Greek Still Life Of Daffodils changed hands for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,454.68) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Manolis Calliyannis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greek La Lumiere De La Mer (The Light Of The Sea), which sold at auction in April 2008 for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,748.59).
