Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work On The Logging Road by Manly Edward MacDonald for CAD 4,500.00 (€ 3,231.01). This price was achieved in the auction Important Canadian Art at Sothebys in Toronto and was even below the estimate range of CAD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Manly Edward MacDonald - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Mill Stream; A Glimpse Of The Water Through The Trees, which sold at auction in November 2012 for CAD 11,400.00 (€ 8,822.95).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit On The Logging Road von Manly Edward MacDonald für CAD 4.500,00 (€ 3.231,01) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Canadian Art bei Sothebys in Toronto erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von CAD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Manly Edward MacDonald mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Mill Stream; A Glimpse Of The Water Through The Trees beobachtet, die im November 2012 für CAD 11.400,00 (€ 8.822,95) versteigert wurde.
