This artwork by Manfred Schatz achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in December 2008. In the Sporting and Wildlife Art auction, the work Ducks alighting over King's Marsh sold for USD 11,250.00 (€ 8,082.48) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Manfred Schatz; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot German Hunting Fox - The Endless Search sold at auction in November 2007 with the realized price of USD 15,000.00 (€ 10,212.42).

Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Manfred Schatz erzielte im Dezember 2008 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Sporting and Wildlife Art wurde die Arbeit Ducks alighting over King's Marsh für USD 11.250,00 (€ 8.082,48) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Manfred Schatz; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit German Hunting Fox - The Endless Search im November 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 10.212,42).
