This artwork by Mandy El-Sayegh achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June this year. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Net-Grid Study (OMEN) sold for GBP 32,760.00 (€ 38,127.00) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mandy El-Sayegh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Net-Grid 6, which sold at auction in June last year for GBP 75,600.00 (€ 87,825.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mandy El-Sayegh erzielte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Net-Grid Study (OMEN) für GBP 32.760,00 (€ 38.127,00) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Mandy El-Sayegh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Net-Grid 6 beobachtet, die im Juni letzten Jahres für GBP 75.600,00 (€ 87.825,69) versteigert wurde.
