Auction result misses estimated price range
In April this year a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Malcolm Morley for DKK 7,000.00 (€ 939.04). This price was achieved in the auction Modern art and design at Bruun Rasmussen and was even below the estimate range of DKK 8,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Malcolm Morley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work SS Amsterdam in Front of Rotterdam in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 1,202,500.00 (€ 1,695,509.91).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Malcolm Morley für DKK 7.000,00 (€ 939,04) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern art and design bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von DKK 8.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Malcolm Morley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit SS Amsterdam in Front of Rotterdam im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.202.500,00 (€ 1.695.509,91).
