Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Plymouth Ho, 1985 by Malcolm Morley was sold in the Post War & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in February this year. The price achieved of USD 4,080.00 (€ 3,848.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Malcolm Morley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work SS Amsterdam in Front of Rotterdam in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 1,202,500.00 (€ 1,695,509.91).
