This artwork by Malcolm Drummond achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2001. In the 20TH CENTURY BRITISH ART auction, the work Interior; A Sculptor'S Studio sold for GBP 14,687.50 (€ 24,398.86) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Malcolm Drummond; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Woman Sewing On A Couch sold at auction in July 2007 with the realized price of GBP 24,000.00 (€ 35,645.54).
