A top price for Maiko Kasai
In April 2014 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work Don'T Take My Calf! (Diptych) by Maiko Kasai. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 225,000.00 (€ 20,926.46), 50% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Don'T Take My Calf! (Diptych) the most expensive artwork by Maiko Kasai that we have observed at auctions so far.
