Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Maiko Kasai achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2015. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work A Caller Early Morning sold for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 16,793.69) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Maiko Kasai; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Don'T Take My Calf! (Diptych) sold at auction in April 2014 with the realized price of HKD 225,000.00 (€ 20,926.46).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Maiko Kasai erzielte im November 2015 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit A Caller Early Morning für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 16.793,69) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Maiko Kasai; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Don'T Take My Calf! (Diptych) im April 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 225.000,00 (€ 20.926,46).
