Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Au Bord Du Nil by Mahmoud Mokhtar was auctioned at Artcurial in May 2016. It changed hands for a price of EUR 39,000.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mahmoud Mokhtar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Egyptian au Bord Du Nil (Ala Shat Elnil / On The Banks Of The Nile) in April 2016 with an auction result of GBP 725,000.00 (€ 926,765.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Au Bord Du Nil von Mahmoud Mokhtar kam im Mai 2016 bei Artcurial zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 39.000,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mahmoud Mokhtar erzielen.
