Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Bonhams in Paris held the auction Post War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Sans titre (Série Montmartre) by Mahjoub Ben Bella. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 8,320.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Mahjoub Ben Bella have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 68,750.00 (€ 61,592.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion Post War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans titre (Série Montmartre) von Mahjoub Ben Bella zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 8.320,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mahjoub Ben Bella auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 61.592,90).
