In the Refuge: recognising 50 years of supporting women and children against domestic abuse auction, the work Moon and Sea sold for GBP 5,737.50 (€ 6,843.63) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maggi Hambling have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cascading Wave in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 37,721.77).
