In November 2019 Christies in London held the auction Modern | British Art, which included the work Dreaming by Maggi Hambling. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,522.73), 67% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maggi Hambling achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cascading Wave in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 37,721.77).

Im November 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern | British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dreaming von Maggi Hambling zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.522,73) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maggi Hambling erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cascading Wave im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.500,00 (€ 37.721,77).
