Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction Modern Art + Design, which included the work Composition with figures. by Madeleine Pyk. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of SEK 80,000.00 – 100,000.00, the actual price achieved of SEK 85,000.00 (€ 7,324.01) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Madeleine Pyk have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Croquet in October 2013 with an auction result of SEK 310,000.00 (€ 35,802.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bukowski in Stockholm die Auktion Modern Art + Design durch, in der auch die Arbeit Composition with figures. von Madeleine Pyk zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 80.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von SEK 85.000,00 (€ 7.324,01) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Madeleine Pyk auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Croquet im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 310.000,00 (€ 35.802,56).
