Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lady in Red, White, and Blue by Madeleine Lemaire was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 13,860.00 (€ 12,915.85) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Madeleine Lemaire have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work French Le Gouter Au Salon Du Peintre in June 2009 with an auction result of GBP 85,250.00 (€ 100,038.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lady in Red, White, and Blue von Madeleine Lemaire kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 13.860,00 (€ 12.915,85) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Madeleine Lemaire auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit French Le Gouter Au Salon Du Peintre im Juni 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 85.250,00 (€ 100.038,02).
