Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2021 Christies in New York held the auction European Art, which included the work Femme Assise Dans Un Fauteuil Dagobert by Madeleine Lemaire. The »bidding war« ended at USD 60,000.00 (€ 49,875.31), 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Madeleine Lemaire - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work French Le Gouter Au Salon Du Peintre, which sold at auction in June 2009 for GBP 85,250.00 (€ 100,038.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2021 führte Christies in New York die Auktion European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Femme Assise Dans Un Fauteuil Dagobert von Madeleine Lemaire zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 49.875,31) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Madeleine Lemaire mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit French Le Gouter Au Salon Du Peintre beobachtet, die im Juni 2009 für GBP 85.250,00 (€ 100.038,02) versteigert wurde.
