Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Still Life by Machiko Edmondson was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2010. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 32,450.00 (€ 37,415.36). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Machiko Edmondson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Semantic Space, which sold at auction in May 2011 for USD 122,500.00 (€ 85,211.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Still Life von Machiko Edmondson kam im Oktober 2010 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 32.450,00 (€ 37.415,36) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Machiko Edmondson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Semantic Space beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für USD 122.500,00 (€ 85.211,46) versteigert wurde.
