Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Mabel May Woodward could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art auction, the work Afternoon At The Playground changed hands for USD 11,250.00 (€ 9,658.31) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Other works by Mabel May Woodward have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2001 by the work At The Beach at USD 15,275.00 (€ 18,025.73).
