Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portret by M. Irfan was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2014. The price achieved of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 19,303.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 160,000.00 – 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by M. Irfan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Jangan Pernah Lupakan Sejarah (Never Forget the History), which sold at auction in May 2012 for HKD 740,000.00 (€ 77,088.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portret von M. Irfan kam im Oktober 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 19.303,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 160.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von M. Irfan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Jangan Pernah Lupakan Sejarah (Never Forget the History) beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für HKD 740.000,00 (€ 77.088,32) versteigert wurde.
