Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Burning Morning by M. Irfan was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. The price achieved of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 20,224.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 140,000.00 – 220,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by M. Irfan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Jangan Pernah Lupakan Sejarah (Never Forget the History), which sold at auction in May 2012 for HKD 740,000.00 (€ 77,088.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Burning Morning von M. Irfan kam im April 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 20.224,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 140.000,00 – 220.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von M. Irfan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Jangan Pernah Lupakan Sejarah (Never Forget the History) beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für HKD 740.000,00 (€ 77.088,32) versteigert wurde.
