Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Aperture, which included the work Iceberg #8, Disko Bay, Greenland, 1988 by Lynn Davis. It changed hands for a price of USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,195.76) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lynn Davis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Iceberg #30, Disko Bay, Greenland, 2000, which sold at auction in October 2019 for USD 36,250.00 (€ 32,496.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Aperture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Iceberg #8, Disko Bay, Greenland, 1988 von Lynn Davis zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 10.195,76) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lynn Davis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Iceberg #30, Disko Bay, Greenland, 2000 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für USD 36.250,00 (€ 32.496,64) versteigert wurde.
