Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rose No. 20 by Luo Fahui was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2008. The price achieved of USD 11,875.00 (€ 7,513.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Luo Fahui - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Set Of Three) , which sold at auction in October 2007 for HKD 235,500.00 (€ 20,997.72).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 7.513,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Luo Fahui mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Set Of Three) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für HKD 235.500,00 (€ 20.997,72) versteigert wurde.
