Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Relieved No. 3 by Luo Fahui was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013. The price achieved of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 9,489.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Luo Fahui - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Set Of Three) , which sold at auction in October 2007 for HKD 235,500.00 (€ 20,997.72).

Die Arbeit Relieved No. 3 von Luo Fahui wurde im Oktober 2013 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 9.489,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Luo Fahui mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Set Of Three) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für HKD 235.500,00 (€ 20.997,72) versteigert wurde.
