Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Luke Edward Hall achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2016. In the First Open | Post-War and Contemporary Art | London auction, the work without title sold for GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,881.95) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Luke Edward Hall - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The King'S Tulips, which sold at auction in June 2021 for GBP 5,737.50 (€ 6,685.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Luke Edward Hall erzielte im September 2016 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open | Post-War and Contemporary Art | London wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.881,95) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Luke Edward Hall mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The King'S Tulips beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für GBP 5.737,50 (€ 6.685,68) versteigert wurde.
