Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Paesaggio by Luigi Steffani was auctioned at Il Ponte in November 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 500.00 – 550.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 450.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luigi Steffani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The house of General Garibaldi at Caprera in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,705.11).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Paesaggio von Luigi Steffani im November 2020 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 500,00 – 550,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 450,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Luigi Steffani erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The house of General Garibaldi at Caprera im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 12.705,11).
