In November 2017 Il Ponte held the auction Dipinti e Sculture del XIX e XX secolo, which included the work Paesaggio nordico con pescatori by Luigi Steffani. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,800.00 27% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Luigi Steffani - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The house of General Garibaldi at Caprera, which sold at auction in July 2008 for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,705.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 27 % übertroffen
Im November 2017 führte Il Ponte die Auktion Dipinti e Sculture del XIX e XX secolo durch, in der auch die Arbeit Paesaggio nordico con pescatori von Luigi Steffani zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.800,00 und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Luigi Steffani mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The house of General Garibaldi at Caprera beobachtet, die im Juli 2008 für GBP 10.000,00 (€ 12.705,11) versteigert wurde.
