Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2019 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna, which included the work Christ wearing the Crown of Thorns (i); and The Head of Andromache, mourning over the foot of Hector (ii) by Luigi Sabatelli. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,744.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luigi Sabatelli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Armida and the sleeping Rinaldo on a chariot drawn by dragons and escorted by putti in July 2017 with an auction result of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 66,950.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna durch, in der auch die Arbeit Christ wearing the Crown of Thorns (i); and The Head of Andromache, mourning over the foot of Hector (ii) von Luigi Sabatelli zur Versteigerung kam. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Armida and the sleeping Rinaldo on a chariot drawn by dragons and escorted by putti im Juli 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 60.000,00 (€ 66.950,79).
