A top price for Luigi Monteverde - as previously expected
In October 2014 Christies in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work The Prank by Luigi Monteverde. The price achieved of USD 43,750.00 (€ 34,916.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Prank is the most expensive artwork by Luigi Monteverde that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Oktober 2014 führte Christies in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Prank von Luigi Monteverde zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 34.916,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist The Prank das teuerste Kunstwerk von Luigi Monteverde, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
