A top price for Luigi Garzi - as previously expected
The work Diana and Callisto by Luigi Garzi was sold in the Important Old Master Pictures auction at Christies in London in April 2001. It changed hands for a price of GBP 32,900.00 (€ 53,038.92) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Diana and Callisto is the most expensive artwork by Luigi Garzi that we have observed at auctions so far.
