Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Zen by Lui Shou-Kwan was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. The price achieved of HKD 945,000.00 (€ 112,191.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lui Shou-Kwan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Victoria Harbour After Rain, which sold at auction in April 2013 for HKD 4,240,000.00 (€ 415,048.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Zen von Lui Shou-Kwan wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 945.000,00 (€ 112.191,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Lui Shou-Kwan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Victoria Harbour After Rain beobachtet, die im April 2013 für HKD 4.240.000,00 (€ 415.048,60) versteigert wurde.
