The work View of the City by Lui Shou-Kwan was sold in the Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in March last year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 126,000.00 (€ 14,504.82), 58% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lui Shou-Kwan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Victoria Harbour After Rain in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 4,240,000.00 (€ 415,048.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 58 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit View of the City von Lui Shou-Kwan wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 126.000,00 (€ 14.504,82) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lui Shou-Kwan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Victoria Harbour After Rain im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.240.000,00 (€ 415.048,60).
