The work The Other Side of Taipingshan by Lui Shou-Kwan was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. It achieved a price of HKD 107,100.00 (€ 12,715.07), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 34%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lui Shou-Kwan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Victoria Harbour After Rain in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 4,240,000.00 (€ 415,048.60).
