Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Lui Shou-Kwan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in September last year. In the Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Rapid River sold for HKD 107,100.00 (€ 13,936.25) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lui Shou-Kwan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Victoria Harbour After Rain in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 4,240,000.00 (€ 415,048.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lui Shou-Kwan erzielte im September letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Rapid River für HKD 107.100,00 (€ 13.936,25) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lui Shou-Kwan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Victoria Harbour After Rain im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.240.000,00 (€ 415.048,60).
