In April 2014 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century Chinese Art, which included the work Still Life by Lui Liu. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 600,000.00 (€ 55,803.89), 58% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Lui Liu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Public Vs. Republic in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 4,840,000.00 (€ 450,151.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 58 % übertroffen
Im April 2014 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life von Lui Liu zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 600.000,00 (€ 55.803,89) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lui Liu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Public Vs. Republic im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.840.000,00 (€ 450.151,41).
