Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2018 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art, which included the work Contemplation(Painted In 2001) by Lui Liu. The price achieved of HKD 177,000.00 (€ 18,676.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lui Liu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Public Vs. Republic in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 4,840,000.00 (€ 450,151.41).
