Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2014 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century Chinese Art, which included the work City Girls by Lui Liu. The price achieved of HKD 1,600,000.00 (€ 148,810.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,000,000.00 – 2,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lui Liu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Public Vs. Republic, which sold at auction in April 2014 for HKD 4,840,000.00 (€ 450,151.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2014 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit City Girls von Lui Liu zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.600.000,00 (€ 148.810,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.000.000,00 – 2.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Lui Liu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Public Vs. Republic beobachtet, die im April 2014 für HKD 4.840.000,00 (€ 450.151,41) versteigert wurde.
