Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Important Works from the Najd Collection, Part II, which included the work The Scholar by Ludwig Deutsch. The price achieved of GBP 615,000.00 (€ 677,315.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ludwig Deutsch have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Tribute in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 4,298,400.00 (€ 4,985,835.73).
