In October 2021 Bonhams held the auction Orientalist Art, which included the work The Woodworker by Ludwig Deutsch. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 94,000.00 (€ 111,364.61), 57% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ludwig Deutsch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Tribute in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 4,298,400.00 (€ 4,985,835.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 57 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Bonhams die Auktion Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Woodworker von Ludwig Deutsch zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 94.000,00 (€ 111.364,61) und damit 57% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ludwig Deutsch erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Tribute im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.298.400,00 (€ 4.985.835,73).
