Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work A view of the Texel, with two fishermen hauling in their nets, a yacht of the admiralty of Amsterdam and a man-o'-war beyond by Ludolf Bakhuizen. It changed hands for a price of GBP 56,700.00 (€ 67,612.75) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ludolf Bakhuizen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A States Yacht and other ships on the sea in stormy weather in July last year with an auction result of GBP 730,800.00 (€ 872,705.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A view of the Texel, with two fishermen hauling in their nets, a yacht of the admiralty of Amsterdam and a man-o'-war beyond von Ludolf Bakhuizen zur Versteigerung kam.
