Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master Prints, which included the work Seascapes with Views of the Ij and Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Katwijk, etc. by Ludolf Bakhuizen. Here, the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 6,500.00 (€ 5,674.87). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ludolf Bakhuizen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A States Yacht and other ships on the sea in stormy weather in July last year with an auction result of GBP 730,800.00 (€ 872,705.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seascapes with Views of the Ij and Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Katwijk, etc. von Ludolf Bakhuizen zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 6.500,00 (€ 5.674,87) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ludolf Bakhuizen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A States Yacht and other ships on the sea in stormy weather im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 730.800,00 (€ 872.705,00).
