Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Blind Man's Buff by Lucius Rossi was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2005, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 840.00 (€ 696.63). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucius Rossi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Masked Ball, Ca Rezzonico, Venice in October 2007 with an auction result of USD 43,000.00 (€ 29,720.76).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Blind Man's Buff von Lucius Rossi im September 2005 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 840,00 (€ 696,63) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lucius Rossi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Masked Ball, Ca Rezzonico, Venice im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 43.000,00 (€ 29.720,76).
