Auction result misses estimated price range
In May last year a collector was able to acquire the work The Bouquet of Violets by Lucius Rossi for USD 13,860.00 (€ 12,915.85). This price was achieved in the auction Belle Époque Splendor: The Discerning Eye of a Collector at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lucius Rossi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Masked Ball, Ca Rezzonico, Venice, which sold at auction in October 2007 for USD 43,000.00 (€ 29,720.76).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Bouquet of Violets von Lucius Rossi für USD 13.860,00 (€ 12.915,85) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Belle Époque Splendor: The Discerning Eye of a Collector bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lucius Rossi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Masked Ball, Ca Rezzonico, Venice beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für USD 43.000,00 (€ 29.720,76) versteigert wurde.
