Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Lucien Smith achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in April last year. In the New Now auction, the work Untitled (Black 11) sold for GBP 7,560.00 (€ 9,015.03) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucien Smith achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hobbes, The Rain Man, and My Friend Barney / Under the Sycamore Tree in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 389,000.00 (€ 285,903.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lucien Smith erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Black 11) für GBP 7.560,00 (€ 9.015,03) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lucien Smith erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hobbes, The Rain Man, and My Friend Barney / Under the Sycamore Tree im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 389.000,00 (€ 285.903,28).
