Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Campo Santi Giovanni e Paolo, Venice at dusk by Lucien Lévy-Dhurmer was sold in the British and European Art auction at Christies in London in July last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 44,100.00 (€ 52,663.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucien Lévy-Dhurmer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paysage Montagneux in November 2020 with an auction result of USD 1,956,000.00 (€ 1,637,094.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Campo Santi Giovanni e Paolo, Venice at dusk von Lucien Lévy-Dhurmer wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion British and European Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 44.100,00 (€ 52.663,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lucien Lévy-Dhurmer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paysage Montagneux im November 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.956.000,00 (€ 1.637.094,07).
