Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Bonhams in Edinburgh held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art, which included the work Standing figure by Lucas Tandokwazi Sithole. The price achieved of GBP 5,120.00 (€ 5,879.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Other works by Lucas Tandokwazi Sithole have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2018 the work South African day Dreamer was auctioned for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,867.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Edinburgh die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Standing figure von Lucas Tandokwazi Sithole zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.120,00 (€ 5.879,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Lucas Tandokwazi Sithole konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2018 die Arbeit South African day Dreamer für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.867,30) versteigert.
