Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Presentation In The Temple by Luca Longhi was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,956.50). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luca Longhi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Mystic Marriage Of Saint Catherine With A Bishop Saint, Probably Saint Nicholas Of Bari in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 289,000.00 (€ 194,730.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The Presentation In The Temple von Luca Longhi im Oktober 2011 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.956,50) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Luca Longhi erzielen.
